Default sorting order in the Megafilter component

Hi, I'd like to return to my previous post about the sorting order. It seemed a good idea but the solution also disables the quick filter on the frontpage. Is there another way to change the default sorting order to any of my choosings in the Megafilter component. What I want is to have a default sorting order on Created Date, and remove Position completely!

Could you tell me which quick filter are you referring to?

The one on the frontpage... if you try and "out-comment" that line you referred to in the previous thread, you can clearly see that the filter is disabled/vanished.

I applied another solution for you by overriding this language constant: JPOSITION

and set the created date as default field to filter.

Pls clear caches of browser to see the changes.

Okay, it sort of did the trick 🙂. I tested it on my live site and needed to choose Created first, and then it remembered my choice. Let's not proceed any deeper with this issue as I'm content with the solution. Please close ticket and thank you so much for all the assistance.
