Before Update to Joomla 4.3. T3 and Socialize

Hi,

I now run JomSocial 4.8.3 and I'm trying to update to Joomla 4.3.

I get a waring that a T3 Framework Package Paket 3.0.6 has to be updated to a 3.1.3.

When I look at what I have installed I get a bit confused, se photo below.

I have inactivated some T3 files but the site seams to work.

Can I unistall the T3 Framework Package 3.0.6 or where can I find the right Package?

Well if JomSocial 4.8.3 and Socialize is ready for Joomla 4.3?

Socialize has not been updated for some time, will there be an update so we can go up to T4?

Or do you suggest an alternativ template?

Hi Jonas,

That package might be from pretty old version, you can remove it and keep T3 plugin latest version only.

And bot Jomsocial and Socialize template are ready for Joomla 4.3 🙂

You should backup your site before updating.

Hi,

I deleted the T3 Framework Package 3.0.6 and the site crashed.

In the download page there are no T3 System Plugin 3.1.3 but I tested the 3.1.2 and got the page working again.

After that I found an update to 3.1.3.

Socialize has not been updated for some time, will there be an update so we can go up to T4?

Or do you suggest an alternativ template?

Hi Jonas,

You're right, Socialize template is quite old with T3 framework.

For Joomla 4 and future support, I recommend to try with T4 framework and its templates: https://www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates

If you want a fresh template like Socialize, T4 also offers T4 Blank BS5 template 🙂
