Images not showing

Hello,

since I migrated my system from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 the images from a custom field called "Unternehmen-Logo" are not showing up under:

The filter is retrieving intro image of each article to show there but you've not set intro image for these articles yet so nothing displays.

You can update for these articles, then re-index the filter, it will work fine.

Thank you for your message. But your statement does not seem to be correct. The website was migrated and in the Joomla 3 version this was working with the custom field logo and not the intro image. If you look to the filter, you can see that the setting is pointing to the custom field and not to the intro image:

As you can see in all the articles there is no intro image set but in the Joomla 3 version this worked correctly:

I have provided the login data again. Also for you to know:
I realized that when I open an article in which the logo does not show up in the filter correctly it worked to open the correspondig article in the backend. simply save the article again and the logo is shown correctly. The problem is, that there is more than 200 articles in this category and to be honest I am not willing to open more than 200 articles by hand to save them again to make the logos show up correctly in the filter.

Another thing that I noticed, that articles in which there is no logo defined in the custom field show this icon:

Didn't you read my last post? The problem is not solved. Please read my last post. I am still facing two issues as described in the post.
Please check here and you will see that all these articels have logos and none of them is showing up:

And articles that have no logo defined show the small icon from the screenshot in my last post.

I have updated your site and it appears to be working properly now (please clear your cache before the first load on the site). The file that was changed is plugins/jamegafilter/content/helper.php, specifically in lines 633-637.

The issue was caused by some Joomla articles that saved the image value of a custom field in a data type other than a string in JSON format. As a result, only the URL string was saved.

Please verify the site and let me know if everything is now functioning as expected. Thank you.

Thank you for solving this issue. It seems to work fine but the second problem I stated in my ticket still persists.
As you can see in here:
there is articles which do not have a logo definied in the custom field logo because those companies do not have a logo.

And as you can see in the screenshot there is an icon showing up like there is an image missing:

Before we migrated there was simply nothing shown on this position when there was no logo defined as you can see in here:

Furthermore I have seen that a component called FF-Explorer was installed? Is this component still needed?

Dear vangogh ,

On the Joomla 3 version of this site, all the functions worked out of the box without problems and there were no adjustments in the souce code of the MegaFilter component needed. The problems which are described in this ticket appeared after the migration from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4 and the upgrade to the actual versions of the MegaFilter component and corresponding modules and plugins.

As I mentioned earlier, with Joomla 4, some methods and datatypes used for saving an article into the database have slightly changed compared to Joomla 3, which caused the issue. To address this, I added more logic to handle other special cases in the file plugins/jamegafilter/content/helper.php, specifically in lines 635-642 and 648-651.

FF Explorer is a component code editor developed by us, so there is no need to worry about it. You can safely uninstall or disable it.

Please check and respond to us accordingly.
