Hikashop Starter Update Causes Error

Hello friends

We just installed Allure theme for a new website we are building.

When we try to update the Hikashop Starter extension the site breaks with the following error.

0 Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin()

How can we resolve this?

On which page could we replicate that error on your site?

At the moment we restore the website.

The error ocurred in all the pages in the Admin area when we updated the hikashop starter extension.
We couldn't do anything in the Admin.

avopolis When you face this error, pls set the Error Reporting to Maximum and enable the 'Debug' mode on your site, It will show the error in details and give you hints of where the error comes from. I guess one of extensions on your site is not ready for Joomla 4.

We haven't installed any extensions yet for this reason.

This happened after we installed the Quickstart template.

It showed us to update Joomla and 2 extensions.
The T3 framework and Hikashop starter.
We did updated the others with no problems.
If we go to update the Hikashop the error occures.

We tried it 3 times and we reinstalled the website from the beggining.

We made a joomla update and after that the update of the extension happened without errors so far.

Guys as previously the problem remains.

When we opened the Hikashop the entire site is broken both in user and in the admin area.
We have the following error
Call to undefined method Joomla\CMS\Application\AdministratorApplication::isAdmin()

to all the admin pages.

Can you check it please?

We cannot proceed until you see it.

Please check it the sooner as possibile.

Our team dig deeper on this and the error has been traced back to the 'HikaShop affiliate plugin' from Hikashop. We have temporarily disabled this plugin.

To resolve the issue completely, I recommend that you reach out to Hikashop's support team for further assistance.

@saguaros please confirm to me, if we unistall totaly the Hikashop we will face any conflict with your template?

avopolis You mean that you will not use Hikashop anymore, right? If yes, you can uninstall it.
