I installed the module, which doesn't work properly (I can't make any selections).

would it be an incompatibility with the Advanced Module Manager?
it really is incompatibility... used interim solution below (taken from the regularlabs website): "To access these modules using the core module manager, simply change the URL from option=com_advancedmodules to option=com_modules. So you don't have to disable or uninstall Advanced Module Manager to get to those modules."
So is it ok now with the default com_modules view of Joomla?
