Hi there,
we are using JA Content Listing module with JA Coach Template and EasyBlog as our main solution for content.
We have published JA Content Listing module on our homepage as well as on a submenu.
We have migrated the standard Joomla articles to EasyBlog and so far everything is fine and the EasyBlog posts are being correctly displayed on our homepage with Thumbnail image setting 'Use first article image'.
But now we have discovered two interesting phenomenons:

1 - Thumbnail image setting 'Use first article image'.

As soon as we create a new manual post in EasyBlog, there are is just the small image icon being displayed on the homepage in JA Content Listing module indicating that the image is not found whereas everything is o.k when we navigate to the EasyBlog post in detail view.

See screenshots.
When we check the underlying reference link to the images, then we can see that the URL is completely wrong:

post:174/Burkina-Faso-Afrika-Freiburg1_20230628-083647_1.jpeg

As stated this happens for manually submitted EasyBlog posts while the images are correctly being displayed for the imported posts.

2 - Thumbnail image setting 'Post Cover Image'.

If we switch to 'Post Cover Image', then it is the other way around and images are being correctly displayed with correct
image link/URL

whereas there are no images for the imported EasyBlog posts altough there are post cover images being assigned for all posts.

Can you please check.

      Still exactly the same behaviour !

        do you have an update please with regard to the reported issues with JA Content Listing module ?
        We are using the module as a key module on a number of our new pages being migrated to Joomla4 and the issue is becoming critical.

        while I am waiting on your dev team to come back with a solution of the reported issue, I found another issue on your provided version of mod_jacontentlisting in this thread. There were no files in the layouts folder and just index.php.
        So please let your dev team know about this. I have in the meantime copied and pasted the directories with all files from the official version of the module.

        Otherwise please note that the reported issue in this ticket is impacting 7 Joomla installations and sites. It is really critical for us to get a fix asap.

          For the first issue related to Thumbnail > Use first article image, I figured out the reasons and got fix as well as updated on your site. Now, I temporarily set Thumbnail into Use first article... to let you take a quick look on it.
          I attached the file, lines changed and path to this file in the file.zip below. This update will be included in the next official release.

            Regarding the second issue: only index.php file in folders /tmpl/layouts/layout-01 and so on. I took a carefully check mod-ja-contentlisting on your current site above and our download site, it still works file with fully files in all folders.
            Would you please give me your other sites, so I can check and help you solve that issue.?

              thanks so much for the reply and the provided fix. This is much appreciated since the issue became quite critical for us because we are hitting this on a number of Joomla sites.
              I can confirm that the fix is working fine with Thumbnail > Use first article image

              But as reported to you there is scenario with Thumbnail image setting 'Post Cover Image'.

              Then it is the other way around and images are being correctly displayed with correct image link/URL for newly created EasyBlog posts whereas there are no images for the migrated/imported EasyBlog posts altough there are post cover images being assigned for all posts.

              Can you please check this also.

              We need to be flexible to use both options Thumbnail > Use first article image as well as Post Cover Image.
              Post Cover Image is our favorite.

              For the issue that there was only index.php file in folders /tmpl/layouts/layout-01 .....I have manually copied the missing files from official mod jacontentlisting version.
              No idea why they were missing before - and I cannot reproduce the issue since all files are indeed included in the provided module from saguaros two weeks ago. So you can ignore this and it is not an issue.

              I don't see the images of imported posts on your site, I just tried to remove the cover image for this post: 098 Containerbeladung nach Léo/ Burkina Faso 25.06.2021 and upload image again but it failed.

              I have just uploaded new image for post '098 Containerbeladung nach Léo/ Burkina Faso 25.06.2021' and assigned it to 'Post Cover Image'. So this worked fine for me.

              Please note I have switched from Thumbnail > Use first article image to Post Cover Image on module JA Content Listing on our homepage for testing purposes. The module is named 'Aktivitäten'.

              EasyBlog Posts 099, 100 and 101 have been manually created in EasyBlog and the Post Cover image is visible on module JA Content Listing.
              All other posts ....for example 091 - 098 ....have been migrated by EasyBlog migrator from Joomla posts.
              They also have Post cover images associated when you open them in EasyBlog - but the post cover image is not visible on JA Content Listing on our homepage !

              As stated, your team fixed the issue with Thumbnail > Use first article image ...... but the issue with post cover image still exists

              I am sorry for missing another issue on your post. Now, this issue has been resolved with the following lines changes: 173 ->175, in /modules/mod_jacontentlisting/helpers/adapter/easyblog.php . And this solution will be integrated into the next release version.
