Migrate to joomla 4 -guide?

Greetings,
We currently are running Joomla 3.10.0 and Guru 6.1.1.
What steps do I need to do to export/import Guru to an existing Joomla 4.2 site and Guru 6.1.0.
The import MUST EXACTLY contain student's scores, viewed courses etc.
The course questions, quizzes and final test remain the same for both sites.

I'm a bit confused about your question, pls help to confirm:

Migrate your Joomla 3.10 site + Guru to Joomla 4?
Or export Guru's content (courses questions/quizzes, students, ...) from Joomla 3 website to another website running with Joomla 4?

1/ If you want to migrate a Joomla 3 website + Guru to Joomla 4: you can simply download + install latest version for Guru component + its complimentary plugins that you're using and install into your site, then you can migrate Joomla 3 to Joomla 4.

2/ Guru supports to export CSV with students' scores only, it doesn't support option to Import/Export Guru's content from a website to another website.

I have discovered how to export students.
This should become FAQ reply .
GURU, how to EXPORT students.

In Guru, click on the COURSES menu. In the drop-down, select Courses. This will list the courses you have created.
Under the STUDENTS tab, click on the number shown. This will take you to a Course Manager page titled "Students enrolled in "YourCourseName" Course".
In the upper left corner, click on "EXPORT".
This will create and download a csv file with student information and their test results of all students enrolled in the course.

How do I import this csv into the same GURU course on Joomla 4.
The 2 courses are identical.
I need to add or update any changes to student data.
Students worked on the Joomla 3 course during migration and that work needs to be reflected in Joomla 4 course.

This export feature helps to provide kind of report only, it doesn't have import feature so you can import to another site.

I have a question, why don't you install latest version of Guru into Joomla 3 site and migrate that site to Joomla 4 so you can use the existing data in Guru?

I have already migrated the original site to Joomla 4. It was a VERY long process.
That's why the course info is the same on both sites now.
But users have been using the old site after the migration.

Is it possible to replace the DB table containing student info from J3 to J4 Guru_DB?
Both sites now have identical users

marq-104 You can clone your live site and give it a try, if everything is the same on both sites, I think it will work.

I spent DAYS trying to update to Joomla 4.
I don’t want to do that all over again!!!
The Joomla 3 site has too many incompatible items.
The Joomla 4 site is now perfect.
All I need to do is mirror the GURU Student info.
Can I export the GURU DB from Joomla 3 ###guru to Joomla 4 ###guru?

I took this list of tables from your ResetUsers php.
Are these the ones I need to import/update?

I solved the problem from a suggestion I got from GURU support a few years back.
Since both Joomla 3 and 4 had the same version of GURU with same quizzes and tests:
(Caution: I used a DEV version of both Joomla 3 and Joomla 4 sites, NOT a live site)

Uninstall GURU from Joomla 4
Delete all GURU tables from Joomla 4
Export the Database tables from Joomla 3
Import database tables in Joomla 4
(re)Install GURU in Joomla 4
This created a perfect mirror, exactly what I needed.

I did it again when setting up the live site. Works like a charm🙂
Basically Export GURU-DB from Old site.
Edit exported sql and change prefix if needed!!!!
(In my case I changed j31v to j42v)_
Import GURU_DB to new site.
THEN install GURU

Upon installation you'll see GURU install process go thru the DB.
