members levels of access

Hey there.
Since this week, jomsocial no longer works as it was set up.
Checked everything but should still be fine.
Problem is I have 2 levels of access, basic and paid member.
The paid member could log in and enter jomsocial. the base is not a member, but since this week they can come into jomsocial and see the timline.
This is certainly not the intention, but I can't find anything that suddenly changed

That's right, but you still don't answer the problem I'm addressing here because I'm posting something everywhere. But..
I want a solution that provides 2 types of access for members in jomsocial.
The settings you use are simply not right!
In order for jomsocial to work, access must be set to public... That really needs to change.
This means that every member, regardless of whether they are a paid member or not, can join jomsocial.
Jomsocial should only be for paid members and not for basic members.
So how do I prevent a non-paid member, basic member, from having access to jomsocial?

By creating all kinds of extra pages that are access group-oriented and group-oriented menus are visible there... very cumbersome, but an iter can still find out the URLs and then they can still get everywhere that is not the intention.
As long as that setting must remain public for jomsocial, you do not meet the requirement of the privacy statement because jomsocials does not meet those requirements

By default, the frontpage menu of JomSocial is set to Public, normally, if you don't want a page display in public, you can set the Access Level to Registered Users for that menu item.

Not sure what are Paid members on your site, do you have special user group for these paid members? If yes, you can create a new Access Levels for this user group - same like 'Registered' user group and assign the new access level to the frontpage of JomSocial on your site.

Please note that the frontpage of JomSocial should not be set as default page on your site, you should set another page as default page - which is always set in Public so guests can view your site.

Jomsocial is not listed as the default page.
I had it registered from day 1, but that didn't work. J could not get into jomsocial as a registered person. You then put it on public, after which it worked and you could join jomsocial. As I have explained before, I want to have only paid members in Jomsocial and everything that is done in Jomsocial by members should not be accessible only to paid members.
Jomsocial can only be made to work if you post it publicly and that is absolutely not allowed

I had to buy another plugin which I'd rather not spend money outside of the money I spend yearly on jomsocial etc.

Please DEV team consider helping more on this.

That Jomsocial should be put on public to allow work is NOT allowed and is not allowed, we are dealing with the privacy law. There is no response from you now.
