New Quiz Question Type

I would like to add other types of questions to a uiz besides Radio, Select, Multiselect and Essay. I understand that this is not something that can be done in Guru configs and requires custom development, which is fine for us. But do you have any documentation or advice for where to create new field types?

You're right, this will require heavy customization. If you're familiar with coding, it's better to check the code as it will relate to various files.

administrator\components\com_guru\views\guruquiz\tmpl\editform.php from line 1015 to custom quiz types dropdown
use this url to add type as you want: administrator/index.php?option=com_guru&controller=guruQuiz&task=addquestion&tmpl=component&cid[]=course_id&type=custom_type&new_add=1
administrator\components\com_guru\views\guruquiz\tmpl\addquestion.php to display your custom type
administrator\components\com_guru\models\guruquiz.php , use method addquestion to store your new type
all questions are stored at table #__guru_questions_v3
