JA Blockk Freezes On Template Changes

We are experiencing a freeze inside of the recently-installed JA_Blockk template. The backend is freezing as soon as we attempt to make any settings changes. I have attached a video.

We are familiar with this template as we have it working on another [earlier JA Blockk template version] J4 site.

My developer thinks they may be an issue with the preview feature of the template.

Howard-Duggan1 I tried to take a backup of your site to work in my local but the local site works fine when updating settings in template. I guess something wrong from your server side specific.

Could you try to switch to PHP 8.0 and see how it goes?

We have switched to PHP 8.0 and the problem still persists.

We have created a second staging site on a separate server. PHP8. The freeze still persists. My developer thinks this might be a JavaScript problem with the template editor.

Would you please provide us access to any other JA-Blockk template so we can test for similar reaction (or you are welcome to instal it yourself and then delete after testing).

I tried to take a backup of your site and debug in my local environment but it worked perfectly:

Something from your server blocks this from functioning.

Did your developer test this?

We have two staging sites on each on a different server (two different countries). Both running PHP 8.

I appreciate your video. While the template immediately freezes for me, my developer says, in regards to your video, "this can happen – sometimes it works for a minute or two and then freezes".

It always works fine at my local as the recording video. You can try to contact your hosting provider for further investigation. In the meantime, I will forward to our dev to take a look.

I believe the template works for you. The point is that it doesn't work for us.

We have tried two different staging servers.
We are complying with all minimum server requirements
We are using a previous version of this template successfully (on J4) on another site
We have used a number of other templates for other sites for over a decade.
We are using a highly trained developer with experience well beyond template dev.
We have been waiting a week for a resolution.

We are unable to use the current template and request a refund. How do I go about that?

This issue is too complicated, please give us more time to investigate.

In the meantime, could you create a new sub-folder on your site >> upload the Quickstart package of JA Blockk template and install there? then share us the login info so we can check further.

Hi,
After conducting tests, we've discovered that the /images/ folder on your site contains an excessive number of files. This is causing the media manager to freeze, and as a result, the JA Blockk template manager is also affected.
To resolve this, please think about removing any unused images or organizing them into subfolders to get less displaying file number.

You can replicate the same issue when viewing the media section: administrator/index.php?option=com_media&path=local-images:/

Thank you for this information. I have raised it with my developer and we are considering what approach we would like to take. I will reply here when we have decided (and perhaps tested your solution).
