I don't have a link I want to recreate the Joomlabamboo template called writer that used the excellent buildr template bundle. With Joomlabamboo being closed and the JB site offline I can't link to the exact template.

Not sure which template you're referring to (JoomlArt or Gavick)? I think if you want to add a background with parallax effect like that for the header only, it can be customized a bit to achieve that 🙂
