Search function on website no longer works

Good evening,

Unfortunately, after migrating from J3 to J4, the website's search function is broken. I can no longer add it from the CMS and the 'magnifying glass' at the top right has disappeared.

Anyone suggestions?

Hi Tim,

I guess you're using Search component now, however, Joomla 4 removed this Search component and it uses Smart Search component instead.

You can disable search module / search menu item and create new Smart search module + Smart search menu item for your site and configure as you wish.

Also make sure that you index the content under Administrator panel >> Components >> Smart search so it can work properly.
