T4 Submenus won't dropdown on module position

Hi, I'm switching a site to Joomla 4 and with this I also try to upgrade the template from T3 to T4.
In the navigation boxes, placed in module position sidebar-1, the submenus won't open. Neither on mouseover nor on click.
Probably it is something with Java Script but I can't find it.
Please, could you have a look and maybe fix it or let me know what I can do about it?

If you're not familiar with code, I suggest you to find a 3rd party extension in Joomla Extensions directory for module which supports the navigation / effect as you wish. It will save time.

Well okay, but with the T3 template active, the menu works fine...

You can extract and override it to
