High Resource Usage

We installed JA Blockk 17 hours ago. There was an immediate critical increase in CPU usage and increased Entry Processes. See Yellow Box on attachment 1.png

We disabled two key extensions leaving bare bones. The improvement was minimal.

Three hours ago we wanted to remove index.php from the logo URL and so we made a simple, one-line mod rewrite in DOT-htaccess file. The mod rewrite didn't work BUT the memory issues disappeared completely. See blue Box on Attachment 1. The side effect to the bad mod rewrite was the drop-down menus didn't work (main menu) so we restored DOThtaccess and the CPU usage skyrocketed again.

As you mentioned, you updated rules in htaccess file, it seems not relate to JA Blockk template 🙂

saguaros I think you should re-read what I wrote.

The template was chewing through CPU resources out of the box.

It was only when we did a bad mod re-write that the problem went away. When we restored the htaccess to its virgin form, the CPU usage returned to dangerous levels.

Howard-Duggan1 Do you have any 3rd party extensions installed on your site? Pls disable them one by one to find out which one cause this issue as we can't replicate this issue at my end and this is the first time we've received this kind of report. Basically, JA Blockk is a Joomla template, it should not relate much to that CPU usage though.
