Somehow it happens to your site specific as I checked with the latest version of JA Simpli and the columns settings still work fine. So please don't worry for the next update.
And yes, you can remove the login info now.

Problem still actual... ...I did the same.. ..and my 2 columns are gone.. 🙁
You can share your site's credentials: URL of that page + super admin account so I will take a look and check for you.

We just implemented this template on a website using Joomla v4 and columns didn't work. We added the custom code on this thread and it works now. Please look into this as still an issue with this template. Thanks in advance.

Pls try to set to 0 and see how it goes.
We have set to 0. Then we tried adding a leading article and didn't work either. Keeping at 0.
