Issues with T4 Megamenu

I have a personalized template based on T4 blank template. I have problems with the megamenu:

I have menu items of type "separator". But they don't show as a line (like in my T3 site here: www.sv-rosellen.de) but instead they show like a text item, with hover effect etc. See for example Menu > Verein -> sportlich -> "--4" (this --4 is a menu item type separator)
I have menu items which are "sub-items" of another menu item. In T3 they used to be displayed like a flyout (see www.sv-rosellen.de - Menu > Versammlungsordnung > Versammlungen). Now they are displayed like the "parent" menu item. How can I display them the right way?
In T3 on mobile, the dropdown sections of the menu-button would open and close when tipping on them, but the menu itself stayed open. Now on T4 I can open a dropdown section of one button, but when I close it again, the whole menu closes. This way, navigation in my complex menu structure is inconvenient.
In the dropdown menu, I have to click exactly on the menu text get the link working. In the former version, I could click on the "line" of the dropdown menu - for example right of the text - to get the link working - which in my view could be the correct way of work.

Help would be very much appreciated!

I wanted to clarify that T3 and T4 are distinct frameworks, each developed with unique approaches. They shouldn't be compared as it's not an upgrade of each other. However, I will share your feedback with the T4 team for their further consideration.
