We are waiting for the stable release of Joomla 5. After we are able to conduct further testing, we will be able to announce more details regarding the specific updates.
Typically, we prioritize updating the framework(s), and then the templates and extensions will follow.

Hi,
do you know already which templates will not receive the update to Joomla 5? I just had to change from J3 to J4 with new templates and now I hope I don´t have to do it once more ;-)

I read that all T3 templates from 2015 will be supported.

But how do I know what date a template was created?

You can use this page to check for the dates of older templates.
Another way is to click on the "Changelog" button available on the specific template page, you will be able to see the exact dates when the template was first released.

When you say T3 templates from 2015 you mean 2015 included?

I'm worried about JA Mono that is 2015

Ok Ja Teline V is from Dec 2014! that is very disappointed because I am using Teline V since some weeks. I had some questions and nobody told me that this template will not be updated to Joomla V. I am not yet ready with the change from Ja Teline IV to Ja Teline V and now I hear it is/was in vain :-(

This morning, with Yootheme, Admin Tools Pro, JomSocial, I went up to Joomla 5.xx in two sites with both Yootheme & JomSocial running - no problems.
4 x sites with Yootheme as the only template - no problems.
Admin Tools Pro (and my best mate Akeeba Back Up) flawless all the way along this path of action, loving it. I felt the guiding hands of a couple Joomla luminaries along the way.
It was the JomSocial Pro installs I was the most concerned about, their website & support is such a hard-to-read drama, but yeah - cool.

I find it sad that you are killing Shape5. You should have a service that has a similar template and switch it over to that. Even if it is a fee.

This was our initial plan however due to the demand for Shape5 we've decided to keep updating the templates for J5. You can look forward to the new updates soon 🙂 .
