Assigning a layout to a menu item.

How does one assign a particular layout in a T4 template style to a particular menu item or items? The layout that is used for the entire site is the one that is selected in the Layout Settings under the Main Layout regardless of what is check in the "Menu Assignment" tab.

Let me take the demo site of T4 framework as sample, we configure to assign the 'home' layout for homepage only:
1/ Create a template style called t4_bs5_blank - Home
2/ Open this template style >> Layout settings >> set the `home' layout for it. In case that you want to use a new layout, you can simply clone an existing layout (there is clone button next to the 'Save' button)
3/ Assign this template style to the menu item you wish.

Okay, thank you for the reply, Saguaros. So you are saying that if I want to have a subpage layout that is different than the homepage, I need to create a new Template Style. In other words, each Template Style can only manage one layout.

Can a layout be copied from one template style and be moved or added to another template style?

Different template styles can use the same layout, and you can change the layout for each template style as you wish.
