I am using multiple profiles on JomSocial. Is there a way to access the profile type value from Membership Pro?
Membership Pro integration with JomSocial
It's the integration within the Membership Pro extension. It allows the transfer of data in customized profile fields from Membership Pro subscription page to the JomSocial profile. But it doesn't consider profile types, and it doesn't allow for multiple profile types.

saguaros yea, I agree. Unfortunately there has been no additional research into the JomSocial integration, and to quote the vendor. None likely.
Since the profile type cannot be selected until the member logs on for the first time and uses the Edit Profile function to complete their profile. The user will see the "You are currently using the default profile type. Change" After selecting change they are presented with a list of possible profile types with a radio button for each selection. After selecting Next, the are given the profile fields for the selected profile.
Is there a way to preset one of the multiple profile types as the default, or would that eliminate the ability to select a different profile type?
I'm afraid that you have to contact the provider of this plugin for help on this.
