Purity III, V2.1.0 not compatible with Joomla3.10

Hello,
With Purity III, V2.0.4 in Joomla 3.10 there is no problem.
However: updating to Purity III, V2.1.0 gives:

'Joomla\Component\Content\Administrator\Extension\ContentComponent' not found
JROOT\templates\purity_iii\html\com_content\featured\default_item.php:31

It will break your website.

So the template is not backwards compatible to J3.10.
Solution:

Users should be warned
Or fix this
Or the manifest file should be changed so that V2.1.0 is not shown as an available update for J3

Hi Peter,

This update is for new version of PHP and Joomla 4 / Joomla 5 so it'll be great if you can migrate your site to Joomla 4 / 5 version as Joomla 3 was end of life already.

In case that you keep using Joomla 3, you can open that file: JROOT\templates\purity_iii\html\com_content\featured\default_item.php

and replace line 31 with:

$isUnpublished = ($this->item->state == 0 || $this->item->publish_up > $currentDate)
    || ($this->item->publish_down < $currentDate && $this->item->publish_down !== null);

Also file .....html\com_content\content\xblog_item.php contains the same code that does not work with J3.

I understand that J3 is end of life and I am changing to J4/J5.
But the update is offered in J3 but NOT compatible with J3. I suggest to use a higher version number ( 3.0.0) for this non J3 compatible version and warn the user in the CHANGELOG.

You can easily modify that in the XML (http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j31/purity_iii.xml) that the update is not offered for J3 (e.g.: <targetplatform name="joomla" version="((4.(0|1|2|3|4|5))|(5.(0|1)))"/>
