I have have since the site is moved problems with the adding of new photos to albums. The photo's are not showing in the backend. And adding new photo's the sort-order is a problem.
What can I check for fixing this?

Somehow the preview link of these images in Gallery article content type is wrong, I've forwarded to our dev team to get it fixed.

UPDATE:
It seems that there is conflict between the Gallery content type and JCE editor, we just disabled this option: Global configuration > JCE Editor Pro > JCE File Browser in Image Fields > No and the image previews are showing now.
