Update not possible,

Joomla tells me that there is a new version of JA Blockk (and three other Joomlart extensions) available. When I click the update button, it returns an error message. "Failed to extract file", it tells me. All other extensions we have installed can be updated without problems. The same error occurs for all the JA extensions upon attempting to update them.

I chose to install the JA Extensions Manager plugin, but that doesn't even know about any new versions of anything, and simply tells me that everything is up to date. It says that JA Blockk version 2.0.4 is the latest version, but Joomla still claims that there is a version 2.1.0 available.

We have some overwritten files, and wish to keep these changes when we update. How do we solve this?

I tested with JA Extension manager component and it did notice the correct new version of JA Blockk:

Hello again, and happy new year!

New issue with updates. The extension manager tells me that there are updates available, but whenever I click on the Update now link, all it says is:

Errors occured during upgrading, please fix them fist
MySQL path is not configed
MySQL Dump path is not configed
Local repository path is not configed

What does this mean? How do I go about to handle this?

You can simply access JA Extension manager component >> Configurations and hit the Save button:
