Module positions

Is it possible to insert module positions within the Articles - Category Module supplied with the template? If so, what are the module positions?

I'm bit confused of your question, what you mean by insert a module position to the Articles -Category module?

In Joomla, it's vice versa, a module could be assigned to a module position.
