Hi,

after several days tweaking with moving from t3_blank template to t3_bs3_blank I was finally able to upgrade from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4, but arriving at the Extensions: Update page I get a warning:
Update: Could not open update site #19 "T3 Framework Update", URL: http://www.t3-framework.org/update.xml
Searching files in the tree I found "<webroot>\administrator\manifests\packages\pkg_t3.xml" with this line:
<server type="extension" priority="1" name="T3 Framework Update"><![CDATA[http://www.t3-framework.org/update.xml]]></server>
which may or may not be the cause and here is some background to it:
T3 was originally installed as a package version 2.6.1 and this was before I took over to manage the site (which is owned by a friend to my wife). In preparation for the upgrade I tried to uninstall this package, listed among Extensions packages, but it removed the installed latest plugin version. So had to restore from backup and somehow this seems to still linger and cause havoc after upgrade.

If that's the file causing this do I change the url and to what? If not or not relevant (as T3 probably wont have any more updates?), can I just remove pkg_t3.xml or?

thanx

After getting a bit more familiar with Joomla 4 I found the "Update Sites" page and I see there I have 4 different items related to T3:
T3 Famework : http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/j16/plg_system_t3.xml
T3 Framework Package : http://www.t3-framework.org/update.xml
t3_blank : http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/list.xml
t3_bs3_blank : http://update.joomlart.com/service/tracking/list.xml

So I assume I can at least disable the Package there but most of all I would like to get rid of the item but I'm not that deeply familiar with Joomla to know if I can simply delete the file without causing problems.

schakim The package may come from the old version as at this moment, if you're using T3 BS3 Blank template (or T3 Blank template), you only need T3 framework installed.

saguaros Thanks for replying and yes I understand that, but I like to get rid of it because: If I disable and then uninstall it, it removes my version 3.2 T3 plugin but complains about that it appears to have been unsuccessfully uninstalled earlier and leave it there in the list.

This speaks to me as potential trouble down the road... Just speak from experience as a programmer here. So, I like to clean it out before going further, but I'm quite new to Joomla and not yet fully familiar with its inner structure and working. So, if you could give me some guiding here how to remove it manually if nothing else I'd be grateful.

schakim I think you can access the database of your site and manually disable it as you wish.
