how to build layouts like in the demo for news articles

in the example page, you have news articles layouts like this :

but on my site i can only do this :

can you make it like in the example page? with slideshow and latest articles in the side bar? thanks

1/ That article on our demo site has type of Gallery content type, your article seems to be default content type and it will not has that slideshow. You can simply create a new article with 'Gallery' type:

There will be a Gallery tab for that article where you can put images as you wish and they will appear in the slideshow:

2/ Regarding to the articles on sidebar, you can create module you want and assign it to sidebar-2 position. On our demo site, it's a Articles - Category

That's default page of JA Good template which has several homepage, which one are you referring to?
