Dear Joomlart Support,

Thank you for the recent updates to your T4 Page Builder component. I went through the update process from Joomla 4 to 5, which included the T4 Page Builder, and the transition appeared to show no errors.

When I add a Block or an Add-on to a page on my site (page title Home2) using the T4 Page Builder it is saved on the editing page (in the editor) and after closing the editor, the saved content (from the editor) is visible in the back and front end:

However, after saving the page again, with the editor closed, the content is not displayed in the back end and in the front end only the text (without any formatting) is displayed in the front end:

Additionally, (as shown in the images above), Font Awesome (6), after being enabled in the T4 Blank Template Bs5, only displays the fonts in the front end and not the back end in the editor.

These issues do not occur in Joomla 4, as I have the same site in both Joomla 4 and 5. You can go through the same process yourself if you go to the T4 Page Builder editor on my site (page title Home2) and save the block (it is still there), close the page and visit the front end of the site, before saving again. When you try save you try to save the page, the problem I've described happens. I await your response and a solution for this issue.

Mr B

    bazab Hi

I still can see the content + FA icon after saving and in edit screen as well:

    Maybe cache on your browser?

    Hi saguaros,

Thanks for your reply. It appears functional in the back end now. But did check in the front end after saving, as shown in your response? There is only text without any formatting in the front end. The formatted block will appear in the front end after saving it and closing the editor, but on saving it again, as shown in your response, only text without any formatting is shown in the front end. Please look again.

    Regards,

    Mr B

      bazab Hi

I saved but the icons are still there as you can see now ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi saguaros,

Thanks for your reply. Did read or attempt to go through the process I explained above that results in problem that is STILL happening? Or is that you canโ€™t understand or accept that the T4 Page Builder is not working as it should in Joomla 5, on my site? Iโ€™ve created another home page (home3), so take screenshots or video as evidence you are actually going through the following procedure by simply:

      1. Add a block or add-on to this page (home3)
      2. Save the page
      3. Close the page

      4. Save the page with the block or add-on again

      5. Check the page for the saved block or add on

      6. Check the front end for the saved block or add-on

Do see the block / add-on being saved or just text? In the front end is the block / add-on displayed? The process for saving, adding and displaying a block or add-on, using the T4 page Builder, does not end with point 3 above! Please do not waste time by answering, with a few words, the already resolved issue of the fonts. The issue is about adding, saving and displaying of a block or add-on in a page using the T4 page Builder, do you understand?

      Regards,

      Mr B

Could you click this edit button directly when hovering that page row?

      Hi saguaros,

Thanks for your reply. I see that some sort of workaround has been implemented on my site, which appears to avoid the Joomla edit page that also displays the content from the T4 Page Builder, after saving the content on the edit page of the T4 Page Builder. Would you care to share this fix? As this would allow it to be used by others who may use the T4 Page Builder with Joomla 5, until this problem is resolved in the next update of the T4 Page Builder. I also have other sites with the T4 Page Builder / Joomla 5 where this problem would still happen.

A final note, have you installed T4 Page Builder with Joomla 5 on the latest localhost server using WAMP (MySql 8.2.0, php 8.2.13 & Apache 2.4.58)? There is an error with the T4 System Plugin and the site cannot be displayed, in the front end, but the back end functions normally though. There is no issue if the site is used with with Joomla 4. Do I need to send you a screenshot?

      Regards,

      Mr B

bazab May I know which Joomla template are you using in your localhost? if that template is built with T4 framework, you will need to install T4 framework plugin and publish this plugin.

        Hi saguaros,

Thanks for your reply. You are right, in part, about getting the T4 software to work on the latest WAMP (and with Joomla! 5), as I had not updated to the latest T4 extensions to allow everything to work on the localhost, which it now does. Thanks for your support with this particular matter.

        Regards,

        Mr B
