Normally, these settings for color will work well with T4 based templates, however, it's due to the design of this template which support Dark/Light mode so this template comes with some custom style which override these settings. The same with the logo as it's set with the max-height, etc...
Initially, we want T4 to have less configuration as possible so there is no configuration to set style for the dropdown. T4 has been released years ago so we will consider this option in the new framework.
