Hi,
I have updated to Joomla 5.03 and it seems that since then the admin area is showing in text format rather than graphical.
The live website however is displaying correctly.

Please could you take a look.

Thanks in advance as always!

    fing086 Hi

Maybe one of the extension on your site are not ready for Joomla 5?

You can share the correct URL to access backend of your site so I can take a look.

    Regards

    I only updated from 5.02 to 5.03 🙁

I have updated the login details, please then navigate to o-hx.com/o-hx/ where you will find the files.

    Thank you

Do you have backup of your site with 5.0.2 version? pls share with me so I can try in my local environment

I dont have any back up now they are deleted after a few days

I think the last installation was OSMAPS but I'm quite sure I have visited the backend since then with it working.
I have tried to remove this but I cant seem to do so.

Hi, I found a 5.02 backup and restored it however there is no difference.

I have asked the server devs to look at this as well and they state the following

Having checked the error logs on the site, it looks like there are a lot of issues with the website.

In here we can see that there is depreciated code for not only some modules required for Joomla to function, but specifically the template. I’ve supplied some examples of these below:

[08-Mar-2024 16:40:49 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $row in /home/ohx/public_html/o-hx/templates/ja_prodex/html/com_content/featured/default.php on line 72
[08-Mar-2024 16:40:49 UTC] PHP Warning: Undefined variable $rowcount in /home/ohx/public_html/o-hx/templates/ja_prodex/html/com_content/featured/default.php on line 74

[08-Mar-2024 16:40:50 UTC] PHP Deprecated: htmlspecialchars(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home/ohx/public_html/o-hx/modules/mod_lgx_logoslider/mod_lgx_logoslider.php on line 18
[08-Mar-2024 16:40:50 UTC] PHP Deprecated: trim(): Passing null to parameter #1 ($string) of type string is deprecated in /home/ohx/public_html/o-hx/modules/mod_lgx_logoslider/mod_lgx_logoslider.php on line 43

What this usually means is that the website’s modules, theme, applications or plugins are attempting to use PHP that has been depreciated according to the current PHP version in use by the site.

fing086 These are just warnings due to PHP versions only, it will not affect that display in backend.

Or you try to rename this folder in template: /templates/ja_vital/html/ and see how it goes

P/s: I can't access the FTP account you shared.

      Hi,

I tried changing the (Prodex/html) dir name and there was no change. The template is Prodex so only just realised this has ended up in JA_Vital?!

The FTP should now work, the account was auto-removed on one of the restores made to try and fix this.

Please can you take another look to see if you can access it now.

Hi, I have noticed that the backend is now looking like it should do, however, none of the menus on the web page itself are working and when I go to the menu area in the back end I cannot select different menu types? (Articles etc).

This is now very urgent as the website not working properly is something that I cannot have.

The created menu item still doesnt go anywhere when you click on it, it just reloads the front page again as so all the other menu items.
Also there are now errors in the 'SEO Score' section of each menu item where it states it can't see the page.

Please can this be looked at thoroughly and fixed rather than just testing small areas of the issue?
If it is not template-related I am happy to pay for the time required to bring the website upto full working order.

fing086 May I know which menu item that doesn't load, I will take a look.

          Ok,

So this error started out at the backend not working.
This you seem to have fixed but now, as previously stated, none of the menu's on the public facing site work.
They show, but when you click on them they all load the home page and not the respective page that they should.

The only ones that do work are at the bottom of the page and these are the links to external sites or pdf files.

Also if you go into the menu area of the backend, you will see 'SEO Score' instead of giving the user things to change to get the SEO Score up, it simply states that the page cannot be found and gives a low SEO score because of this.

If you try and create a new menu item, it allows you to do so, but when you try and select what type (Article etc) the drop downs do not open, (in fact the arrows are all already pointing down rather than to the right)

I have recreated the site from scratch as the customer was complaining about the length of time for my support.
