Issue is: Blank screen when visiting random lessons.
There seems the only way around this is to click the front and back buttons at the bottom right hand side. If a student does this then the screen is no longer blank: https://app.screencast.com/vjr3AmXdgHt61
here is the issue in motion: https://app.screencast.com/TRXbHVBytYgZQ
You can see that it effects random lessons and just displays a blank screen..
You can visit the lessons here: https://ourwebsite.com/mycourses
mcity Hi
I see JS conflict on that page, could I take a backup of your site and debug in my local?
saguaros of course, or if you like you can use our test site. details are here: https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/49073-deprecated-errors-while-updating-test-website-to-php-81
The main difference is the test site has php 8.1. Other than that mostly the same.
whichever is easier and faster for our live site, of course. thank you
Hi
We're looking into this issue on dev site, kindly wait.
We updated this file to fix the issue: templates\ja_sensei\local\html\com_guru\guruprograms\tabs.php
templates\ja_sensei\local\html\com_guru\guruprograms\tabs.php
Kindly check.
Nice saguaros
At first, I thought you updated the file on our live, site.. But realized we are all on the same page and updated the fix onto our test site.
So I went to test site and all seems good; so I replaced "tabs.php" onto the live site and so far it seems to have worked..
Can we keep this ticket open and continue working on the other issue: https://www.joomlart.com/forums/d/49073-deprecated-errors-while-updating-test-website-to-php-81/8
This way, we can also wait for any students to email us as to whether they are having issues with blank pages as well..
Thank you
Lastly, I will mention that both on our live site and test site, I noticed this:
I don't know if this interrelates with everything, but its everything to do with Guru:
Should we do anything with this?
If you're using latest version of template already, you can select all of these records and remove them:
Thanks saguaros Still testing out the blank screens, but so far and thankfully we haven't found this issue reappear.
Regarding the suggestion "remove record" thanks that did the trick!
Glad to hear that 🙂
