message.js used in Purity III template?

Hi,

We are using the content notifications plugin from Minitek.gr to allow users to subscribe to news updates. Since some time tle 'loading' message appears after hitting the subscribe button. This message stays on the screen implying nothing happens. The subscription process however works and the user gets an activation mail.

The error message shown in the console is: Joomla.renderMessages is not a function
The developer of the pluging suggests that the template being used does not load the Joomla file 'media/system/js/messages.js' Can you confirm/deny this for me?
And perhaps push in the direction to solve this?

As I can see Cassiopeia doesn't load this file either, does it work with Cassiopeia template?

admin-cyclo I've never used this plugin before, could you share steps to replicate this issue and the super admin account of your site so I can check?

Hi,

Updated the site information as requested. I expect this to be safe and only we can see the information.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Go to www.cyclo78wezep.nl
Go to the sidebar and select the option "Updates ontvangen'
On the form full in name (naam) and emailadres
Select "Inchrijven"

Expected behaviour:
A message at the top to confirm the subcribtion and information about the confirmation email

Actual behaviour
A small messagebox containing the message "loading" that stays on the screen

Additional information
The mail is sent and when the confirmation link is selected the proper message is shown in the top of the screen. So this seems to work as expected.

Please let me know when I can revoke the rights to the site.

The last backup is recent and contains the issue as well.

Giving you more time is no issue at all.
I would however like to know if this is a template issue or not.

In the first case I will have to wait untill it is fixed. Ad I expect you to fix it 😉 And then off course I will wait.
If it's not a template issue and it should be fixed in the plugin I ahev to adress this to the supplier of the plugin since it is a payed version.

admin-cyclo It may have conflict in JS with T3 framework as it works fine with default Joomla template 🙂
