Make articles from a category blog open with a different template style

I want to make the articles in the home screen open with a different template style than the home page.
I have been dealing with this by using a hidden menu and adding a single article page with the different template for every single article.
I want the editor to be able to publish without me doing this extra step every time

ridoku You're right, Editor user group doesn't have that permission.

You can try this:

Create a category for Editor to select
Create a menu item pointing to this category
Assign the template style you wish to this menu item

and the new created article will inherit that style.

1/ The article you're referring to
2/ The template style you want to assign to article

If I open an article all' the module I have in home get carried over to the article

my solution was to create a menù single article inside an hidden menu and assign the correct template from there

what I want to do is being able to write an article, and skip this last step, so I can have an editor publish on his own

I understand your point, the issue here comes from menu assignment only. In Joomla, an article must belong to a menu item so it can display on its own page. If it doesn't, it will keep showing on the default page (homepage in this case).

Solution: you don't have to create a menu item for each article, you can create new menu item for the category these articles belong to and it will show correctly.

I don't know which template you are using (this is the section dedicated to Purit IV).

However, if I understand correctly, your problem right now is that when you open an article from the home page, the article is displayed using the same layout as the home page.

If I remember correctly, you can configure the layout to use in subpages or subelements. That is, you can configure so that all articles that are opened from a specific page or menu item use a specific layout.

So if you have a "module" on the homepage or a menu item configured to show the list of articles, you can configure the layout to use when viewing a single article.
