Gavick templates incompatible with Advanced Template Manager?

I want to assign templates to specific pages using the Advanced Template Manager. My approach works with the Joomla Protostar template but not GK Steakhouse. Here is my setup

domain.com - Set Gavick News 2 as default - Works perfectly
domain.com/subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) - Set GK Quart to apply to all urls containing "subdomain" - Works perfectly.
domain.com/subdomain/page (subdomain.domain.com/page) - Set GK Steakhouse to this URL. It does NOT work. But Protostar template, if set in this way, works. Why?
I have tried using other match parameters - eg component, menu, etc rather than using the URL. These don't work either, or they "work" but mess up other parts of my site. Protostar works perfectly.

Are you using the free or pro version?

I am using the free version of Advanced Template Manager. All Gavick templates are pro templates.

This isn't an extension I've ever really used

Can you login details so we can take a look

Have you asked Peter at regular labs? - is support only for paying members (got a feeling it is)

Hi,

I didn't test this extension with Gavick templates, but I'm afraid it could be not compatible, because here: https://www.regularlabs.com/extensions/advancedtemplatemanager you can see the information:

Advanced Template Manager is NOT compatible with these (and maybe other) templates and template frameworks:
Gantry (RocketTheme)
JoomlaXTC
T3 (JoomlArt)
Warp (YooTheme)

Gavick templates are also based on framework (Gavern)..
