Cannot install JomSocial on Joomla 5.1.2 site

Hi there,

I desperately tried to install JomSocial version on our Joomla 5.1.2 site but it is always failing after package has been installed in backend with error:

An error has occurred.
404 Component not found.

When I check on the Filesystem I can see the relevant new folder com_community in components and administrator .....but not unpacked.

I cannot complete the installation itself.

Hello,

tried the same thing on another Joomla 5.x.x site and simply cannot install JomSocial 4.9.3 at all.
It always errors with '404 Component not found'.

Anyone here who can help me please.

We are stucked.

Please try to install the latest version of JomSocial package again. I have checked and make improvements and the installation is working well now.

thanks a lot.....I checked the site and noticed that JomSocial has been installed by you and I can access it.
This is great news.

But now I followed your advice and downloaded latest version of JomSocial package again which is still the release 4.9.3 from this link:

I installed in on our other site and I am experiencing again exactly same issue !!!!

So there is no difference - can you please share the link to the package with the improvements you mentioned !

As stated we are facing exactly same issue on our other site since you have not provided an official fix included in the Jomsocial package.

The issue caused by the Community JomSocial component was disable when you installing new JS package. So before installing new JS package, you may need to check the Community JomSocial component and enable it.
