Hi there, i have set up everything is the site and the only thing that has not been done yet is the layout builder (the most difficult), but I noticed that the page opens up on the home page and allows me to style and assign thing but when it comes to the other pages of the website like article page category, 404 page etc where I edit them?

It will depend on which layout / template style you're assigning to these category page , 404 page ... and you can edit the same.
No need to create template style for article page, you can use the subpage layout instead:
For example, you assign a template style to a category page, and set the layout for this template style.
The category page will use that selected main layout, and the article layout will be set under Subpage layout where you can assign to inherit the main layout or set other layout for it.
And can I assign each design to a specific page then?
hackermade Not sure which specific page you're referring to, if it's a menu item, then it will be easy to assign.
No, the categories page will have the same design, but the design for the article page changes, for the featured articles, home page, error page all those pages have different looks
hackermade Are you referring to the article view in these sections? It will depend on the style of that section / module / etc ...
You can tell us how you want to achieve in each section so we can suggest further.
saguaros I am planning to create a news/blog website and I want to build the structure of the pages, such as the article page, the category, the home page etc...but i feed a bit lost using the layout build of T4 and the docs are a bit old. so I want the home page to look like this
the cateogy page like this
and the article page like this
I do not want to use the QuickStart package because I have an already built Joomla Installation and also I do not need those events, podcasts and academy sections of the template, I just want to build the site in my own way but as I said above I have not understood the way I can achieve it. I wish you understand
