Categories menu and slideshow

i hope this message finds you all well, i have 3 requests please

is this template compatible with the latest version of VM? can i update the VM without any issue? is there a new version of this template coming soon?
i need to make some changes to the categories menu on the home page, i like the menu to be like a drop down instead of fixed position just like how it appears in categories and products pages.
i am going to use a 3rd party slideshow plugin and i want it to fill the whole space, where to assign the module?

Apologies for the delayed response. Here are the answers to your questions:

1/ There are no planned updates for this template at the moment. If you decide to update to the new version of VirtueMart, please ensure you take a backup of your site first.

2/ Unfortunately, the template doesn’t offer this feature by default, so significant customization will be required.

3/ The section loads the t3-feature-intro position, which includes two other positions for the slideshow and banner. You can disable the module in the t3-feature-intro position and assign the new slideshow there.

Thanks for your reply, so in case this template will not be getting any update i believe i should start switching to another option such as Atoms maybe right?

but i don't want to start from 0 again after the whole work i did with this template, any idea what can i do as I'm not an expert?

also i see Atoms says the latest version is 2.1.1 but when i go to download it shows 2.1.0.
is Atoms fully compatible with latest version of VM?

The latest version of JA Atoms is 2.1.1, as you can see here: https://www.joomlart.com/member/downloads/joomlart/joomla-templates/ja-atoms. This version only supports VirtueMart 4.2.4.

I understand the challenges of managing this without technical expertise. Since this task is outside our support scope and might take some time, I recommend hiring a developer for a small fee to get it done for you.
