Menu issue with content not displaying, possible user connection

The articles that should be showing in Category Blog layout when you select a category from the Category main menu item are missing. Inspect shows that they're set to class "system-unpublished," and I think it's because when I created this dev version of the website, there were articles assigned to a user account that's missing/deleted. I used DB Replacer to re-assign these articles to an existing userID, which seems to have worked, but the menu still isn't finding them. I have also rebuilt the menu and cleared my cache. Not sure what else to try. Suggestions? You help is, as always, greatly appreciated!

You'll see the articles assigned to the 8 categories (Dangerous Malfunctions, Wrong Venue, Insane Fans, et al) under the main menu item "Category" are missing when you select one. The same thing is happening on "Submissions" --> "Reader Submitted Stories".

Please detail whatever fix you might find, so I can apply it to all of these menu items.

The content is clearly there, just set to display:none or something by the Joomla system, because they're assigned to a div class called "system-unpublished". Likely due to the aforementioned "created by" userID assigned to each article. There was an error saying that it was unable to find user 48 and 62. So I used DB Replacer to assign those entries to user 63. Didn't seem to solve the problem.

New wrinkle... just had a thought to create a new article and assign it to one of the desired categories, to see if it would show up on the Category Blog layout. It did not.

So something else, other than missing users, is to blame.

Hope you get a chance to look into this. I'm betting it's something obvious I'm missing. I've been doing more WordPress than Joomla of late, so I've likely forgotten something stupid.

Now it appears I have copies of categories with a -sp-XXX suffix placed after them, and they are loading, while the original categories are not. Is this something you did? It's not that way on the live site. Just here on the dev site that I've given you access to, so I really hope that you're the one that made the change. Otherwise, I've got bigger problems. Please touch base!

Very disappointed in the lack of response. I had to roll-back the update, as I was unable to resolve this issue. The site is back to fully-functional, but will need that update soon.

Should you find some time, I'd love to know what you think happened when updating from 4.4.0 to 4.4.7 that would cause category blog layouts to just stop working with the div class "system-unpublished" applied to them, so they don't show, despite being published and showing in the single-article layout.
