video and ACM module

Hi.

I'm here again with another question.
i'd like to insert a video into a page with sidebar.
if a use ACM module with feature style-7 i have two little problems.

1) i only need a video, without the info section
(only feature-image div, and without feature-info container div)

2) the module is too large, and causes the scroll down of the sidebar, as the image attached.

if you have any suggestion it's very appreciated.

or... may be there's another way to insert a video (only a video with no other text) using ACM?

Hi Peter,

This ACM: Features style-7 module contains 2 parts: video on the left side and loads module in 2 selected positions.

You can backup this file:

root/templates/ja_impact/acm/features/tmpl/style-7.php

and replace with attached file (unzip first)

style-7php.zip

Then you will need to customize CSS a bit:

.acm-features.style-7 .feature-image {
    min-height: 758px;
    max-width: 100% !important;
    width: 100% !important;
}

first of all, thanks for your reply.

unfortunately the code works, but it doesn't do everything I wanted.

let me explain better, if I put this module into an internal page, it has a strange behavior:

the module (published inside an article using the loadposition method) goes to occupy all the available space (100%) and consequently the other modules present in the sidebar-r go to position themselves below and not next to it.

unfortunately I'm still developing locally, and I can't show you something online to work on...

Hi Peter,

I can't replicate this issue at my side, you can take a backup of your local site with Akeeba backup and share me the backup file.

I will restore in my local and see what's wrong (tell me the link of that article as well)

I debug your site and the issue comes from a redundant closing </div> tag in your custom style of JA ACM Features : style-9 module:

/templates/ja_impact/acm/features/tmpl/style-9.php

I removed this closing tag and the article page shows correctly now.

thanks for the precious help, all works now very fine.

a little explanation: I preferred to duplicate the acm-feature styles creating the number 8 and the number 9, so I could be sure not to overwrite my changes in case of future updates.

the changes that you suggested in the answers above were really useful and enlightening.
