Share feature request

Today I received this request:
It would be nice to be able to have a quick copy link so I can send my profile out to people on other websites! Similar to how you can go into your snapchat settings and find a 'copy/paste' link?

I've checked in jomsocial and see there is a social sharing feature which is turned on, but the documentation link doesn't work so I have no idea if something else needs to be done or if social sharing options are for something entirely different...

can you make an official announcement that JomSocial will no longer have new features?

because i want to know what i'm paying for, i have bought a subscription to JomSocial several times and i'm not ready to invest my money in something that is no longer being developed.

there are many other components for Joomla, i will just switch to another component and never be a JoomlArt customer again.
i want to know information about the future of JomSocial.
