Latest JS version that is Joomla 3.10 compatible?

Simple question really but I can't find the answer in the changelog. I just installed JS 4.9.3 on Joomla 3.10.12 and the front end still works but the admin does not display correctly. What's the latest version that I can use without updating Joomla? I'm on PHP 7.4 by the way, and any later version breaks the site.

The latest version of JomSocial supports Joomla 5 and PHP 8.x, while Joomla 3 and PHP7.4 are no longer supported, you should consider to migrate your site to Joomla 5.

I get that and I have 40+ sites I manage, and believe me I want them all on the J4 or 5 ASAP. However this client can't afford to go to J4 right now because his template is outdated (JoomlaXTC which went belly up) and an update to J4/5 would be cost prohibitive, so we're looking for other solutions until then. I've gone all through the changelogs for Jomsocial and I see no cutoff between J3 and J4 compatibility. If I just knew that I would download whatever the last version was J3 compatible (4.8.3 maybe?). It's a simple question really and most developers include such info in their changelogs.

With Joomla 3 and PHP 7.4, I recommend using JomSocial version 4.7.x. Starting from version 4.8.x, Jomsocial has been updated for compatibility with PHP 8.x.

That said, I strongly advise updating to Joomla 5 and PHP 8 as soon as possible, as many hosting providers will soon phase out support for older PHP versions and databases, which pose security risks.
