I'd literally come to this forum to ask how come they've not released a product in months. I've been holding my renewal till there's reason to.
The future of Joomlart
And maybe the could clean up their portfolio with S5, Gavick and so on that isn’t updating anymore and add it to ONE webpage…
I too am eagerly awaiting a response. I already experienced this when JoomlaShine shut their doors with little notice. All my sites were built on their templates which resulted in reworking the templates before I could upgrade. I landed here at Joomlart thinking they might be different.
francus641 any chance you can post info on the changes needed for the J5.2 masthead bug in this thread? I have both templat and extensions pro subscriptions but for some reason I cannot see or reply to anything except the free/public forums. I've been waiting 6 hours for a response from Joomlart but crickets. Just another reason to reconsider my choices here (but alas I need to get the masthead thing fixed), Any help would be appreciated.

I'm afraid that posting solutions in this area is against the rules and I don't want to risk being banned.
But I'm sure you will soon be given the opportunity to access the areas you are entitled to.
Sorry. Really sorry.
And let's hope they tell us something, at least we organize ourselves and know what awaits us.
francus641 not a problem and I apologize for not thinking about the rules. Thanks for the response.
I too would like some assurance about the future of Joomlart. In my case it's Jomsocial. I don't mind so much that updates are infrequent as it's feature rich already but I'd like to know that the current bugs will be addressed and that it will at least keep pace with Joomla. We're not that far away from the release of Joomla 6 next year. Will Jomsocial be ready for that?
I must admit that I am also worried. Apart from the discussion about how neat it is that you do not get what you think you are paying for, it is mainly the silence that causes some 'fear'.
Note that if it is 10 templates instead of 12, that is fine with me when I am busy with updates and bug fixing.
My subscription runs for 2 months, but clarity about the future, but also about the lack of templates and updates since July, will determine whether I will transfer a few hundred dollars in January.
drarvindc Soon, meaning when? What does "soon" mean to you? My subscription has just expired, and I did not receive what was promised. For the first time in many years, I am not renewing it because you have not fulfilled your commitment. And we still haven’t received any information from you regarding JoomlaArt. It’s disappointing. Is this how you treat your customers… leaving us without any word and without the support we paid for in advance
Would like to make few things clear.
- We are not shutting down. We have for now slowed down and taken a break to evaluate the Joomla scene.
- Routine updates and bug fixes are underway.
- There is active internal discussion to restructure JA offerings and offer more value to JA members (to be announced shortly).
- Right now JA is actively exploring Web3 tech and its inclusion in our products.
We also want to hear your thoughts, where do you think Joomla, CMS space is headed with the explosion of AI Agents and AI tools now available.
Regards
Hi @drarvindc ,
First of all thank you for replying to us.
I'll give you my point of view on what you wrote but I'm curious to find out what the thoughts of the other participants in the thread are and those who have followed it even without intervening until now.
I'll tell you what I don't find correct with reference to what you wrote.
You say you took a break and slowed down to understand what's going on in the Joomla ecosystem. Well, I don't find this correct commercially speaking. If I or others have subscribed to and renewed a service we would like the standard for which we paid to be maintained. And I'm not talking so much about breaking new templates production as much as assisting on this forum and producing updates. For example, that there should be 15 threads open on Masthead and the extension still hasn't been updated seems paradoxical to me. But we are your loyal customers and, at least I am, willing to move on and look to the future with renewed trust in your team.
Returning to what you wrote, each of us, in signing to your services, made our own assessments. We created sites based on your software and calculated an annual cost of a certain amount. If in the new plans you plan to add new opportunities while leaving the "classic" plans that we have signed up to for years unchanged, I have no hesitations. If, however, it means forcing everyone to have a different annual expense, even those like me who are not interested in new prerogatives to be added, I am obviously less happy.
Another thing I would like to point out is that a website is made to last a certain number of years. The thing we would appreciate most is if there was an effort on your part to also support older templates for the new versions of Joomla. This would be of much more interest than adding AI-related issues for example. If we want to use AI to generate texts and images, there are already the resources to do so. Copying and pasting instead of generating directly from the CMS doesn't change anything for us. While knowing that the template continues to be supported over the years has immense value. Knowing that T3 based templates won't be able to see J6 for example is a very sad thing. And at that point I don't understand why on October 21, 2024, less than a month ago, you advise your audience to create a site based on JA Healthcare which I use and which is based on T3.
https://www.joomlart.com/blog/joomla-templates/10-stunning-joomla-templates
In practice, today you recommend using your own template, like the beatiful JA Healthcare, which will last a maximum until October 2027 to be optimistic (EOS for 5.x). Couldn't you direct your efforts in this direction, for example by planning to make T3-based templates compatible for J6 instead of trying to develop new kind of products? This is what would really make a difference for many of us, not AI or Web3.
This is obviously just my thoughts, but I'm curious to read what other users think.
And in any case, the world of Joomla, thanks to the development of the last two years and the problems that afflict WP these days, is in excellent health in my opinion. You are among the best players in the Joomla world, behave well and capitalize your position for the future, good job everyone!
Best regards,
Francus
Hi @"drarvindc"
I totally agree with francus. Trust is very important. The phrase "We are currently slowing down and taking a break to evaluate the Joomla scene" needs to be explained better by you. What exactly are you evaluating? There's no problem renewing my subscriptions, 150 euros is not an issue, but starting a project on something that's under evaluation is an issue.
We use Joomla, we have already evaluated it and we have evaluated your work, which is why we pay for it. Overall I am happy with JA. I think the layouts of its templates are top notch and it's a main reason I pay for them, while the functional integration of custom fields is something I appreciate and I would like even more flexible integration of them, as well as integration of multilingual functions (e.g. in the Authors system) because these are some of the reasons we use joomla. I also appreciate the really very functional overrides of the categories, but also of the articles, as well as the multiple layouts in the joomla articles (e.g., in the templates Block, Trip, etc.).
This frees us from extra work or from using extra extensions.
What is missing is the integration of functions, such as truly responsive images which I consider essential for every modern website and the replacement of T3 templates with T4 (from TAG Hotel only 1 out of 4 templates is in T4 the same as in other categories, while there are 42 templates for K2, a dead extension!). Fortunately I don't have any websites built on T3. In general I don't think there is a need for so many templates. So the deal, one template per month, I think is excessive.
Where I am not happy, is with my extensions subscription. Many are outdated, need more attention (e.g. Mega filter does not give SEO friendly urls and in general could be much better) or have bugs (e.g. JA Hotospot) or should be supplemented with a plugin (e.g. Weather module) to become more functional. Also, JA ACM should work on all templates so that we can build simple and functional landing pages easily. As far as WT3web is concerned, this belongs to the future and I cannot have an informed opinion. Of course we trust Joomla, of course we trust you and your good work. Keep it up.

I also agree with everything you wrote even if perhaps I didn't understand this sentence well.
"and the replacement of T3 templates with T4"
Unless you intend to replace T3 with T4 in those templates born with T3, which I don't think is a method that would allow customers to update pre-existing sites.
In my opinion, if they write as it happened 20 days ago:
"Below, we have some of the best Joomla templates for 2025, all from the pros at JoomlArt, to inspire your next project."
and 6 of the 10 templates are mentioned and are based on T3, these templates must then be supported and updated for a certain number of years.
Otherwise you are giving customers the wrong information by inviting them to use them for new projects for 2025.
Francus
hi "francus
I completely agree with what you say. I just don't have any websites with T3. And yes, I have also read the article, which I believe is a mistake by JA. That's why trust is very important. Since there are templates with T3 in the subscriptions, they should be supported for a certain period of time and this should be clear in advance. Personally, I would not start any project with T3 since there is T4, even if the template was perfect, because it is clear that T4 replaces T3, it is not another product, especially since JA has made it clear in relevant discussions here that migration from T3 to T4 is not possible.

One month on and the original question has still not been answered, and of course another month without a template.
But of course we will all receive a free 5 month extension of our subscriptions won't we .... after all we PAID UP FRONT
Whilst I acknowledge the other topics the original post spawned, this post was about a fully paid commercial contract that has not honoured what was promised - not even a small miss of one month, it is now 5 months. How many members are you turning your back on ???
The last company that did exactly what you are doing now (yoo) have now all but disappeared from the Joomla scene.
They stopped producing monthly templates and instead created their own 'joomla inside a joomla' creating an environment that effectively locked you into their scripts and template templates.
Concentrate on your templates and I don't mean layouts etc we have plenty of examples from you. Hire a top notch graphic designer and give us monthly ideas (templates) that concentrate on good quality graphic design. Proper colour schemes that work together, colours that work with both dark and light variations (plenty are good on one variation and bad on the other)
I'm sure most of us here are more than competent when pulling a page or site together, your layouts are already varied and adaptable, whats missing is the graphic design options
Anyway, it probably doesn't matter if you don't honour your contract - hell, you might all have been on holiday somewhere for the last 5 months on our money - logging into to here every now and then to make sure the customers are pacified enough to resubscribe :-)

You didn't make a 'relevant' reply, you didn't say when we could expect new templates as per the paid subscription.
The fact you avoid the original question shows deceit ! It was a simple direct question about template releases.
You have said nothing about the lack of templates.
Actually as a long time subscriber, I am also alarmed that joomlart hasn't made their big Black Friday promo as every other year.
What can this mean ?
The biggest money pipeline of the year for online subscriptions for millions of businesses'.
Nothing new coming to sell ??
If I do not receive an honest answer I will be notifing Paypal, as 5 months after subscribing I have not received anything and I bet many thousands of new subscribers are in the same position but don't know whats going on.
C'mon members, you are all being bent over ........
