Hi, for some reason the update does not appear in the Joomla extensions management but the latest version is available which solves the problem you highlighted

You can update with Ja extension manager

but I already have J5.2.2 and the latest version of Masthead (December 23). php is 8.1.

Do you mean to download it from another template, e.g. JATrip?

Yes, you can alse download from JA Trip if they updated files in that template.
The important thing is that the version is 1.2.1.

Alternatively you can update with JA Extension Manager (you can find it under the components in the backend but it must be configured in order to work).

I take this opportunity to ask @saguaros why these extensions do not appear to be updated canonically through the Joomla extension manager.

We are aware of this; however, with the default Joomla update channel, there is no option to roll back to a previous version if any unexpected issues arise or if you decide not to use the new version. To address this, we offer the JA Extensions Manager component, which allows you to manage updates, roll back to earlier versions, and compare changes between versions.
