I am building the footer section and i wanted to know how to add socials icons to an module/editor. I saw that i have the addons selected, but when i try to save my changes after putting the icon tags in the code section of the editor, it simply disappears. I need help!

It's a known issue with the editor in Joomla which often strips out HTML tags in custom HTML module / article.
Before adding these social icons, you can access Global configuration in backend and set Default Editor to None.
It will work.
