Thanks for the instructions provided. However, the issue still persists.
I installed JA Trip on an existing Joomla site (running Joomla 5.x) where the T4 Framework was already active, and another T4-based template (JA Findus) is being used successfully in production.
I assigned the JA Trip Default template style correctly to a menu item, set the default article layout to "Tour", and created categories with the "Tour" layout selected as default.
However, when I create or edit an article within those categories, the specific Tour Info extra fields (such as Included/Excluded, Highlights, Itinerary, etc.) do not appear in the article editor.
Only the default Joomla fields are visible.
I have verified that the tour-info.xml file exists correctly inside the JA Trip template folder.
Additional checks:
The T4 Framework is fully active and working (JA Findus template operates correctly).
The "Tour" layout is assigned both globally and at the category level.
No plugins are missing, and file/folder permissions are correct.
Manually creating Joomla custom fields works normally, but the template-specific extra fields from JA Trip do not load automatically.
Important note:
On a clean Joomla installation, JA Trip loads correctly and the Tour Info fields appear.
Thus, the problem only occurs when JA Trip is installed on an existing site that already has another T4-based template (JA Findus) working.
Possible causes considered:
The t4_extrafields metadata ("tour-info") is not injected automatically into categories.
The system may not trigger the reading of the XML definitions properly when adding a second T4 template.
There might be missing or undocumented steps to manually activate the Tour-specific extra fields in this case.
Could you please check if there is any additional plugin, trigger, or database setting needed to fully enable the Tour fields when installing JA Trip on a live site that already uses T4 and another T4 template?
Thank you very much.
I appreciate your support.
