Hello,
We use JA Social Feed to display news from our Facebook page on our website: https://bhp-weisshaar.de/news
Our provider has pointed out to me that we are generating an incredible number of files on the server.
I made the move to Joomla 5 the day before yesterday and discovered the many files: 717004 files are displayed by Filezilla in the jasocial_feed folder.
I am currently deleting this folder from the old Joomla version, as the Joomla 5 installation is running well.
However, I would like to prevent so many files from appearing in this folder again. What can I do? Is there a setting that cleans up this folder?

The J5 Site online since 3 days now, an there are already 13.501 images in the /images/jasocial_feed folder.
Please see the attachment, should I change the settings?

Best regards
Thomas

Today, 17 hours after my post, there are 15.829 images in the folder. It seems that they are saved again and again and not once per article.

Now there are 16.604 images in /images/jasocial_feed

Now there are 25.524 images in /images/jasocial_feed

Can you please help me with this?

Now there are 34.701 images in /images/jasocial_feed

Is this forum dead? Is there anyone here to answer and/or help?

To prevent more images from cluttering up the web space, I have now set “Update Article” to “No”. The number of images is now 34.830. I will now delete the images and see if it was due to this setting. If so, this is a kind of cache that is never emptied. Surely that would not be intentional?

It is not due to the ‘Update Article’ setting, because even after deactivating this setting, images continue to be generated and the memory space continues to be filled.

Would someone please help?

14 days later

After deleting 15 days, there are now 45111 files again.

Help would be really great, after all we have paid for the product.

Kind regards

There are more and more files, is it ok if I delete them again, or is that stupid because of the troubleshooting?
