The K2 items are showing fine on the main page under the categories of 'Complaints' and 'Companies' but when you click it, nothing happens. I want a new Window to open up with the whole item showing. How do I do this?
My K2 items in the tabs are showing the full article
Hi
I think the first problem you are encountering is a core concept of Joomla - it works based on menu links
These menu links control how content displays e.g. module assignment and how content is loaded
Essentially for a module to load correctly a menu link has to exist - it doesn't have to display on a site but it needs to exist on the system
e.g in your example create a new menu and call i hidden - then add either indivdual links to k2 items or a category link that includes in the category items you want to load
Okay, let me try it.
The menu is not published to a module but the links need to be published inside the hidden menu
This will tell joomla to load the content with the correct module and template assignment
At the moment the site is effectively loading the home page and as this template style lacks a content block no content displays - e.g https://www.tellannie.com/index.php/item/4-kitchen-aid - url is different but looks the same as the home page

Do I have to set the 'Access' level to Super User? Or once the menu item is not on a module it won't show? Or do I have to put it on a module and set it to 'Super User' so regular users won't see it?
ah this to coin a phrase is a different ball game
First I'd set everything to public so you see the module is working and loading the content first
Do you have that?
I created a menu called Hidden. It has 2 links, Companies and Complaints. They are set to list all Items from a selected category. The category chosen is the same as the menu name. I then put this hidden menu in the footer module and set the access to 'Super User'. Still nothing shows when I click my front menu tab images to read the full article.
Everything is set to Public and it shows fine. Now how do I hide that menu? Currently I have it in the footer.
This is where it might be a case of trial and error
Try setting the menu items to registered and see if the module breaks e.g. it reverts to previous problem or it loads the page asking the user to login
I set the access level to 'Special' on the module position. It works. Even when registered users login they don't see the menu. Now one last thing. When I click on the Item from the Tab image on the front page, the Item opens in a new tab. I want it to open in the same parent window. I set the menu link to 'Parent' window but it opens in a new window. How do I get it to open in the same parent window?
Okay some strange behavior. The Complaints tab items open correctly, the parent window but the Companies tab item open in a new window. They are both the same on the 'Menu' configuration. Both are set to open in 'Parent'. Where should I look?
Check in the module settings for the module published to complaints
See if the content is set to load differently

Okay yes. You were right. In the module position under the under 'General Settings' the 'Link Target' was set to New Window. This is fixed.
Solved.
