K2 category title change colour

1) with the K2 sidebar product categories,
how can i customize the level 0 category title level 0 to bold and change its color?

2)should i upgrade the K2 to the current one?
but i am still using the older version of joomla.

1) Could you please post a screenshot showing us exactly where you want to apply this change ?

2) It is not simple to answer to your question due to the 3rd parts components installed , Joomlart extensions have no problems with latest K2 version , my suggestion is to take a whole backup of your website maybe using akeeba backup and then test the update, so if something goes wrong you can easily restore your website.

k2.8 contains a patch for the k2 media manager so from a security point of view I would update

As Pavit said I'd suggest backing up the site using Akeeba backup and making sure backup is fully functional first
