I have acquired the two Microsoft Azure API codes to enroll in the Bing translation service.

However the component does does not ask for these, only a Bing ID.

What is this and where do I find it.

Many thanks in advance,

Kingsley

    Hi kingsleyjohnsmith

Did you followed all the steps as described in the extension documentation page HERE ?

Retrieve your authentication key by going to the menu All Resources > click on your subscription
The Key value is used for authentication

I have followed the instructions to a 'T'.

I have put the following code in the 'Bing ID' box

    dccc41814cd141........................

But I think this box is not for the API code.

The API boxes appear to flash up and disapear when I press the 'options' tab

Can you include site access details

      Thanks
      Paul

I cannot replicate this error on your website , could you please proceed with the extension configuration and let us know if everything goes in the right way after you completed and set your website as a multilanguage website ?

      Thanks

      Hi Pavit,
I've just gone through the procedure again and I'll write the steps just so we know that we're on the same page.

      1) I went to components drop down menu and selected JA Multilingual
      2) I then clicked on the options button and got the following screen attached
      3) As you can see, I don't have a field for the API code - only one for a 'Bing client ID' This is different to the page shown in the joomlart demo where there is also a 'Bing secret client key' which I assume is where the API code is entered. As I said previously, this field flashes up and then disapears
      4) So, I then return to the 'translate' tab. The Hungarian language is checked and I hit the 'translate' button.
      5) The programe states 'done' but nothing has been translated. Interestingly at the bottom of the screen it says 'waiting for engl...'

Are you able to see the 'secret client key' when you are in the back end? I assume that you can because the problem can't be replicated. If it is visible is it possible to cut and paste the API code into the field box. Just a thought.

      Best regards,

      Kingsley

      Dear pavit,

Scrap what I just said. I now have a translation. I guess the 'done' referred to the first translation and the others were being worked on as I was sitting here pulling my hair out. This web business will teach me patience if nothing else.

I'll take a look at the translations and let you know if there are any problems.

Once again, thanks for your your help with this!

      Dear pavit

There is nothing actually translated when I look in the association manager and click on the articles in the edit tab. So, back to square one again

What options are there for me to trouble shoot this myself?

      Best,

      Kingsley

Dear pavit, on closer examination the menus have been translated. I am going to investigate this myself.

      Thanks for all your help.

      Regards,

      Kingsley

I'm glad it is working now , at the end the Bing ID seems also to work now .
