How to show a fontawsome icon only as a menu item

To save room, I would like to replace the "home", "login", "logout" and "add content" menu items with the equivalent font awesome icons only but could not work out where and in which format exactly to put the icon code.

The only limitation is that it does not display more than two icons.

Yes, see link above, except for that there seems to a limitation how many fontawesome icons can be displayed.

Update: There isn't. It's just that certain icons did not seem to work. However, the real reason was that I wasn't using the exact icon code.

Update 2: The sign-in/sign-out icons on menu item 5 definitely aren't working, nor is the toolbox icon (link to backend) on menu 6. If you hover on the item it tells you what the link is about and, if you click on the link, it is actually working. It's just that the icon is not being displayed.

Hi,

Icons like 'fa-sign-out-alt' belong to FontAwesome 5 (this is new version) while your site is loading FontAwesome 4 version, you should use the list of icons for v4 here: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/
