Is the capability for captions, which are standard functionality in Joomla, selected away for Magz II? I can not see captions in the demo of the template. For my website, captions are an absolute necessity.

And why do not the pictures on the front page, for related articles, link to the articles, is this something that can be waived by user, or does the template lack such functionality?

The specific option to add caption for both Intro Image and Article Image is still intact in the template through override which you may add from respective fields as outlined in screenshot and the same shall reflect fine for specific images. Surely, The captions arent added in demo site 🙂
