I have installed the JA Comment, and would like to know how I remove the addthis/addtoany addon.
The tab "Layout" is irresponsive... (according to docu, this would have been the place)
thank you,

Hello,

Could you please update your thread fields with your site back-end access (user, password) and FTP (host, user, password). These fields are visible for moderators only.

Then we'll be able to check the issue.

Cheers

BTW - I can inform you that the plugin "System - JA Comment" is breaking the possibility to install in Joomla, also, it breaks the option to filter in search tools in admin...
Sounds like its not compatible with J!3.3?

boomla Hi. I have no problem accessing "Layout" section. Please try clearing browser's cache. I suspect scripts from old installation may still be used. Please show me what You mean by "addthis/addtoany addon", a direct url to the page where I will be able to see it should be enough.

      Hi teitbite,
If you can access the "Layout" sub-section from Layout/Plugin menu, then you should see the option regarding adddthis/addtoany (according to the documentation).
I can only access the menu item "Layout & Plugins" - here, there's two "tabs" - one being Plugins (that is the first one shown), the other tab is "Layout" and nothing happens when I click this. I have used two different browsers, straight aftetr logging in - same issue, no difference.
The "addthis/addtoany" are buttons on the top of the comments-section, to share with others.
For now, I have disabled the system plugin "System - JA Comment" because it breaks the backend filtering system, and breaks the option to install (hence, also to update) Joomla extensions.

Try re-enable it (shortly, please), and you should see these buttons when logged in on the pages that have comments enabled (one being FAQ/OSS (https://mentalstyrken.dk/faq-oss)).

        Hi,

We're sorry for these issues that you're facing but JA Comments is quite old component which is compatible with 3.5 only, it will not work properly in the latest version of Joomla. You can try with another comment component from JED

thanks for this candid admission but why not making this clear on JA comment page that it does not work with current Joomla versions?
Why do I pay for JoomlArt extensions if this stuff does not work?
or why not fix it ? because this means that people who have been working with it will lose the comments associated with their posts if they use another component.
        not nice at all

francoism Hi. I will forward this information to developers. I'm sorry for inconvenience. Indeed we have missed the fact that that there is no information about it being discontinued.
